Gary & Anne Marie Ezzo
Gary and Anne Marie Ezzo, founders of Growing Families International, first visited Australia in 1996 when Growing Families International (Australia) was launched. They have returned for many conferences at our invitation and by popular request. As surrogate parents & grandparents to so many of us, they will encourage, inspire and challenge.
"Families of Fire" - what an interesting word picture that presents. Family and fire can both produce warmth and comfort when functioning within their God ordained parameters. Sadly 'family and fire' can also produce devastation when there is a lack of understanding as to their proper function.
The 2009 Australian National Conference theme of "Families of Fire" will provide guiding principles so that as parents, youth and children who make up individual families within their communities, we can offer warmth, light and direction to those who are looking for peace and harmony in their homes. When we remember that parenting in the mind of God is a Kingdom issue and our lives are to reflect His glory, it renews a 'fire of passion' within us to follow His way.
Gary & I are looking forward to visiting with 'old' friends, meeting new ones and growing together as a Family who desires to bring warmth, love and life that reflects our Lord, to others.

Bill and Joan Grosser
Bill and Joan Grosser, the National Directors of Growing Families Australia, first met the Ezzos in 1989. Their great desire is to encourage and support parents as they nurture their children to become godly, morally responsible, beautifully refreshing young men and women.
Years ago while studying the Book of Acts we asked Joan’s Dad “Which of the 4 activities of the early church mentioned in Acts 2 v 42 (Bible Teaching, fellowship, communion and prayer) is the most important, or do they rank as equally important.?” Without hesitation he answered “FELLOWSHIP”. We were surprised as Papa was a very practical respected Bible Teacher who really loved the Scriptures. When we asked “Why?” he responded “If you are having true FELLOWHSHIP with other believers all the other activities will follow!” We have never forgotten his wise reply and have realised how true this has been throughout our lives.
That is one of the reasons we are excited about the next Growing Families Australia National Conference! We know that we will experience true FELLOWSHIP and be encouraged, strengthened and inspired in Spirit, Soul and Body to be “Families on Fire”.
