Fee Based

The Tops have a great range of activities that are run by a professional instructor. Session lengths are around 2 hours, with group sizes from 15 to 25. Cost is likely to be around $15 per person.

We’re planning to run a selection of these during the afternoons on Friday and Saturday, and will send out a survey closer to the conference to get a feel for demand – so stay tuned! For now, have a look at what’s possible – be careful what you show your kids though! :)

Abseiling
The Tower – The Tower offers an excellent opportunity for first time abseilers or those wanting to refresh their skills. The purpose built tower provides easy access to a 5m wall that is great for practicing your technique. If you're up to the challenge, you can then experience the exposure of the 10m wall.
Session Time: 1hr 45 mins
Group Size: 15 to 20
Age: Year 4 (School) to Adult

Climbing
Wall Climbs – Solid wall climbs are offered on our tower. A variety of climbing holds offer different levels of challenge to cater for beginner and experienced climbers alike. This is a great activity for younger ages because they only have to climb to the level that they are comfortable with.

Group Size: 15 to 20
Age: Year 4 (School) to Adult

Climbing
Suspended Climbs – these are offered on our vertical cluster activity centre. A variety of 12 m hanging climbs provide pairs of participants with the chance to climb on the same element. These climbs are more difficult than the solid wall climbs.

Session Time: 1hr 45 mins
Group Size: 15 to 20
Age: Year 5 (School) to Adult

Giant Swing
Easily our most popular activity and it's no wonder! Your teammates pull on a rope that raises you up to 15m in height. Your anxiety builds as you grip the release cord. Feel the G-forces when you pull the cord and start plummeting towards the ground. Then the massive cables take hold and swing you out towards the valley below. Suitable for a wide range of people because participants choose the height from which they wish to swing.
Session Time: 1hr 45 mins
Group Size: 15 to 20
Age: Year 4 (School) to Adult

High Ropes Course
Use your initiative and balance to negotiate the 5 element, 5 metre high obstacle course. Face your fears and take the challenge to make it through the course without holding on to your personal safety lines.

Session Time: 1hr 45 mins
Group Size: 15 to 20
Age: Year 7 (School) to Adult

Leap of Faith
This activity is a favourite of personal development trainers. The challenge is to climb up the pole and stand on the leap platform. After a short pause the participant leaps off the platform and attempts to grab the trapeze bar that dangles precariously in front of them.

Group Size: 15 to 20
